New York, NY, October 18th, 2022 — We are proud to announce that WattEV has selected Ampcontrol as a leading partner to provide smart charging technology for WattEV's charging hubs in California.
Earlier this year, WattEV announced the creation of four charging sites that will host up to 60 MW of combined charging power for electric trucks. Ampcontrol's AI-powered software will monitor and optimize the charging operations, ensuring low total costs of ownership (TCO) and high uptime of all EV charge points. Over the next few years, the companies will work together to use data-driven technologies to deploy several thousand trucks.
"WattEV has ambitious goals to create a large network of public charging infrastructure towards sustainable transport. These stations and the thousands of electric trucks we plan to put on the road need to be properly managed and monitored. We believe Ampcontrol's innovative AI-driven platform offers the tools we need to optimize and monitor our EV charge points. The company's vision aligns closely with our goals, and we are thrilled to be working with them," says Ihor Starepravo, Head of Software at WattEV.
"I've been impressed by WattEV's innovative market approach allowing them to deploy the first large-scale truck sites in California," says Joachim Lohse, CEO and Founder of Ampcontrol. "We are thrilled to be working with WattEV's team, and we think Ampcontrol will substantially affect their value proposition to customers."
